By the date we collected the data, here are few facts: AIIMS, New Delhi, was the first to install the system in 2006. Currently, India has 66 Robotic surgery centers where 71 robotic systems have been installed. Doctors who are trained in using robotic systems for surgical procedures are very less compared to EU and USA. In the country, only minor number of robotic surgeries have been conducted over the last 12 years. Especially after the covid-19 pandemic, the need to keep a distance has encouraged hospitals to adopt robotic surgeries. As per the research trend, India is being the fastest growing markets in the segment and will witness immense growth in robotic-assisted surgeries over next few years.
